Honey Foxx is a fantastic former TS pornstar, fetish performer and LGBT+ activist who was nominated for “Best Hardcore Performer”, “Best Solo Model” and “Best Transman Scene” at the 2017 Transgender Erotica Awards.
So where did it all begin? Raised in San Bernadino, California, but currently living in California, Honey Foxx is of Puerto Rican and Cuban descent. In fact, Honey Foxx often describes herself as LA’s Puerto Rican Princess. Honey was adopted when she was a baby by an American couple and how she was a very shy and introverted child during her younger years;
“I was shy and quiet. I was kinda nerdy. Plus my parents were pretty conservative for a gay couple so I was very sheltered for a long time”.
When she was 19 years old, Honey Foxx began her transition process whilst living in South Central Los Angeles. Although her parents have been incredibly supportive of Honey throughout her life, Honey conveyed during how her parents initially found it difficult to come to terms with her true gender identity;
“My transition was rough on my parents. I was their first adopted child and I was a handsome guy. I don’t think they wanted to believe it for a long time. but after many heartfelt conversations and some space and time they are the best supportive parents I could ask for. One of my dads has even come to my drag shows…Well, it took them a good three to four years to fully accept it. Once they saw it wasn’t a phase and they saw the alterations I made to my body (Botox, fillers, breast implants) they really made an effort to support me”.
After graduating from high school, Honey Foxx attended college where she found herself struggling to earn enough money to pay for her rent and tuition bills. It was during this time that Honey began working within the adult entertainment industry after she was contacted by a gay porn recruiter. As Honey explained in greater detail during ;
“When I was eighteen I was living in south central Los Angeles. I was in college and broke. I was living between the dorm housing and my god mother’s house. One day I was at 103rd street train station off the blue line when a gay porn recruiter walked up to me and says ‘you look like you have a big dick.’ He proceeded to give me his card and told me if I ever want to get in the industry to call him. A week later I was in the porn studio making my first film. I was hooked from there, I loved being in front of the camera…
Well the pay difference is huge. I make more now than I did in gay porn. Also, the gay porn industry has a huge stigma of letting their guys shoot any TS stuff. Some can cross over but not many…My dad’s do know I am in the industry. Is it awkward….. yes…. but I wanted them to hear it from me rather than finding out through social media or by fans. They have been supportive of my alternative lifestyle. They always tell me as long as I am safe and happy that is all that matters. They know I take precautions as I am on prep and do a lot of condom shoots. As well as getting tested”.
Honey Foxx : Adult Film Career
As mentioned above, Honey Foxx first began working within the adult entertainment industry when she was 18 years old. Talking about this period of her life during , Honey divulged that;
“I was 18 Years old and I was living in South Central (Los Angeles). This is a time pre-transition. I was on the 103rd street train station and this talent producer Robbie said “You look like you have a big dick.” He gave me his card and a week later I was shooting for gay porn…I did gay porn for almost two years. I started my transition and taking hormones at 19, but I didn’t start living full time until I was 20, which is when I was discovered by Danielle FoX, which is how I got into TS porn”.

“This film is definitely the front-runner for Best Transsexual Release. Four of the five scenes are outstanding with Francesca Le being in two of them. Her performance with Jessica Fox is an amazing one that deserves to be nominated for Best Transsexual Scene. As a matter of fact, the Eva Lin–Aly Sinclair, Leslie Sierra-Juliette Stray, and Francesca Le-Honey Foxxx ones also need to be considered too. Not only is there hot fucking action in these three scenes, but the cocksucking and mouthfucking activities are intense and super hot. The only tranny-guy performance is a very good one too. I know that since we will be seeing more tranny on tranny and tranny on girl performances in the future, the transsexual genre will grow to new heights. As a matter of fact, a new award category should be created to place performances between a female performer and a transsexual performer. In the end, Joey Silvera and his ladies did a superb job on this over three hour film and deserves the XCritic Pick. It’s one of the best transsexual productions that I have ever seen. Tranny and mainstream porn lovers are going to enjoy this one immensely”.
Honey’s Evil Angel sequel release American SM XTC 2 was another critical and commercial success that was nominated for “Transsexual Release of the Year” at the 2013 XBIZ Awards and “Best Transsexual Release” at the 2013 Nightmoves Awards. For example, upon the commercial release of The Trans X-Perience (2014) Apache Warrior highlighted how;
“This series is off to a flying start. Each scene provides amazing hotness and thus, will provide the viewers so much replay value and an abundance of self-pleasuring opportunities. The Eva Cassini-Raine Degrey scene, the Sienna Grace-Robert Axel one, along with the trio of Mandy Muse, Honey Foxx, and Chad Diamond were my favorites. A big plus to this excellent film is that Joey Silvera made sure that we get a variety of tranny sex scenes. That’s why we got a masturbation play, several different types of two-way moments, as well as a three-way. There is something here for everyone who enjoys watching tranny sex. I look forward to seeing more Trans X-perience films and continuing to experience that trans-experience myself. This Evil Angel-Joey Silvera production is an XCritic Pick“.

“Trans-Tastic Four was supposed to ship this week. Based on the pre-books from consumers, some of our key distributors and online retailers placed some pretty large orders. We had to order more pieces and push the title back one week to ensure delivery for everyone. Blackula did a phenomenal job as always, the entire cast gave outstanding performances and hats off to the production – editing crew for the awesome Hollywood style special effects. These beauties possess incredible powers that can only be described as…..Trans-Tastic”.

“My relationship with Grooby has been pretty awesome over the years. Grooby was the first to shoot me after my transition. Working with the talents of Blackula has been really fun as I got to play Catwoman in their Transtastic series. Not to Mention Blackula’s photos are each a piece of art. I also got to work with KilaKali. His picture of me was featured in the 2016 Grooby calendar. He is an amazing photographer videographer. To get that Image was a definitely work but he got it! We were set to shoot outside. It was a fairly overcast day and the winds had started to kick up as we were shooting I was half naked and windblown but Kila still managed to make me look flawless. He also shot one of the hottest black on black hardcores I’ve done. Steven is someone that I admire and respect. He is the type to tell it how it is but is humble and has one of the biggest hearts. I admire that he gave the trans porn community a voice. Before the TEA show we didn’t have much recognition through the AVN’s, XBIZ, or too many others. Now the TEA show is a huge success models fly in from all over the world, Grooby has some of the top of the line sponsors and it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg for the models or fans. Beyond the awards he set up TEA con, for the fans to meet and greet with the models. He is definitely and icon in the industry”.

Honey Foxx : Transgender Advocacy Work & Future Plans
A fan-favorite TS porn star, fetish performer and glamour model, Honey Foxx was one of thirteen industry leading TS stars who was chosen to feature within the annual Grooby Girls calendar in 2016. First launched in 2014, this charity calendar was created by Steven Grooby in order to raise funds for the Trans Adult Industry Foundation and featured Honey alongside leading TS pornstars Domino Presley, Foxxy, Aubrey Kate, Holly Parker, Megan Snow, Diana Love, Miran, Kate, Aubrey Starr, Madison Montag, and Luna Rose. Steven Grooby enthused about this 2016 Grooby Girls calendar in a , stating;
“This is our second annual calendar and the choice for whom to include this year was even harder than last…We trawl through 12 months of content, looking not only for 12 models but for the perfect image of them all and I believe our 2016 calendar represents the some of the finest transsexual adult models in the world. Although we make it as a promotional gift for the industry, we do a limited run which we offer to the public for sale”.
In fact, Honey Foxx has continued to become involved with various LGBT+ support groups and fundraising projects throughout her adult film career. Upon being asked about her ongoing transgender advocacy work within , Honey explained that;
“I am definitely an activist but it’s not trans specific. I like to think I’m an LGBTQI (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Questioning/Queer, Intersex) activist as I have done work for NOH8, It Gets Better, as well as anti-bullying campaigns. I started a non-profit initiative, Koda-nonymous, as a way to give back to the LGBTQI community and raise awareness for important LGBTQI issues…
I say that WE are a community. lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender as well as queer and gender non -conforming. If one aspect of our community suffers we all do. We need to unite as a community and fight through each obstacle society throws at us together. I had no reason to fight [California’s] Prop 8, but when I saw how it affected my parents from getting married, I saw that YES this is my fight too. So with that experience I think WE (LGBTQI) need to come together and fight society [which is] trying to ban trans people from using the bathrooms, WE need to fight for marriage equality rights nationwide and WE need to fight against [discrimination in] society TOGETHER!”.
Honey Foxx has been happy to discuss her own life experiences and personal adversities in order to support and advise aspiring adult film stars and young transsexuals who may feel conflicted regarding their true gender identity. For instance, when she was asked about transsexuals and escorting, and her opinions regarding people who say that working within the sex industry is unethical, ;
“I would say that the trans employment and homeless rates are unethical. I think that unless you’ve been at the bottom with nothing as I have been –with no roof over your head, no money in your pocket, and no food to eat– you do some desperate things. I was in that place where I was working Santa Monica Boulevard to pay for a hotel room for the night, and to put food in my stomach. I escorted up until a few years ago while shooting porn and working a part-time job because I couldn’t find steady work. I am thankful now [that] I work for the City of Los Angeles (and have for four years) and I’m able to encourage trans people to stay in school and get a degree. But not everyone has that option”.
In 2015 Honey Foxx founded KODA-nonymous; a groundbreaking website, podcast and trans advocacy initiative which endeavoured to provide members of the LGBT+ community with a viable support network through which they could learn more about important trans advocacy issues that are not covered within the mainstream media. Talking about her KODA-nonymous advocacy work within , Honey revealed that;
“Koda-nonymous has two aspects to it. The first is the podcast Tea Time. I created it to discuss and educate our community and allies about important taboo issues that society and the news sweeps under the rug. Also to share personal experiences from LGBTQI members…
The second part of Koda-nonymous is the Pay It Forward Initiative which is an opportunity for Koda-nonymous to make a direct impact in our community. Each Month we will give $400 cash to a community organization or cause. We want this to be an opportunity for everyone to get involved. We invite the community to come and volunteer and see how our efforts directly impact lives in our community. We volunteer at LGBTQI resource centers, as well as supporting LGBTQI events. We give money to causes that will pay for funeral expenses of LGBTQI families and friends, or pay for transgender HRT (hormone replacement therapy) for [transgender people] and so much more!…If we want change, WE (LGBTQI) have to be the voice of that change! WE as a community, WE as a unified voice are all we have”.
Honey Foxx discussed her KODA-nonymous work in greater detail during with Becca Benz, elaborating upon how;
“I love the LGBT community. I have received so much love and support that the least I could do was give back. Try to help make a change in someone else’s life. I have done advocacy work for HRC’s NOH8, Anti-Bullying for kids, Black Trans Lives Matter, Angels of Change, Aids walk, PKD walk as well as donating my time and money to several charities…KODA-nonymous which stood for Anonymous kind of Difference, was a non-profit initiative that I had started. It had two components to it. The first part was a monthly outreach where I would go out to skidrow in downtown LA and pass out pre made meals to the homeless as well as sanitary items, clothes and blankets. The second component was my podcast cal T-Time with Cake Moss and Lamonistat (two drag queens) which served to discuss taboo LGBT issues. The Outreach program was doing well for a few months however due to the lack of funding and resources I had to cut that. The podcast died when Cake basically stole my idea and took it to TRadioV where she is now doing the podcast Spill the T with Cake and Melissa B. Honestly I learned a lot from starting my own non profit. I hope to be able to do something similar to it in the future”.
During , Honey Foxx discussed the future of LGBT activism and the importance of supporting legislation that protects victims of violent attacks and how more work needs to be done to ensure that the perpetrators of these malicious acts are prosecuted for their crimes. As Honey puts it in her own words;
“We need to let people know that you will be punished for killing us! I think it’s such a cop-out excuse for the person to say the reason they murdered someone was because they panicked when they found out (he or she) was transgender. It’s not okay! With eight or nine trans murders this year, not only am I in fear of my own life being targeted, but for my fellow trans community. There is something fundamentally wrong with our society when it comes to being trans. It is almost as if we aren’t humans. So yes, I think with nationwide legislation protecting us that would be a first step of many”.
When she was asked about her future trans advocacy plans and if she would ever retire from working within the adult film industry during , Honey Foxx stated that;
“The biggest issues I think the trans community is facing, is the lack of qualified healthcare providers, as well as trans protection rights. It’s crazy to think that we live in 2016 and these basic human rights don’t seem to apply to trans people. I do think that the trans visibility in mainstream media has definitely been bittersweet. I know the sad reality is that it’s going to take more trans lives to save trans lives…
In ten years….. wow that is Hard to imagine because ten years ago I never thought I would be here. I honestly hope that I am making a bigger impact in y trans community. I hope to adopt some more puppy dogs and to still be making some seriously hot porno magic…
Well, seeing as this is my tenth year in the industry I would have to say NO. I took some time off a few years back and got my boob job but even then i couldn’t wait to come back and show them off. I think porn has become such a beautiful part of my life and sexuality that I will continue to share it with my Honey Bees”.
