Jessica Drake one of the most successful adult film stars of all time. A multi-talented porn star, model, feature dancer, director, writer, certified sexual health educator and mainstream actress, Jessica is famous for her award-winning Wicked Pictures feature releases and her pioneering DVD series. When it comes to Jessica Drake’s adult film career, the sky’s the limit!

Before she became the porn superstar that her fans know and love, Jessica was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. Jessica was a quiet student who took honors classes and she has explained in that;

“I had a pretty regular upbringing with my mom and dad and I had a little brother. I went to private school for about 8 years about the beginning of my education. I was pretty nerdy in school. I was in honors classes. I was skinny my whole life, had no boobs, got picked on a lot. I was definitely bullied all throughout middle school and the first part of high school. That’s something a lot of people don’t know but I think that happens to everybody in some way, shape or form. Kids can be cruel. I went to college for a while because I thought that was what I was supposed to do. I didn’t really know what I wanted to do. I was a liberal arts major. I took some psychology courses and really enjoyed them…

I ended up meeting some people in Texas that were in the adult industry. I didn’t know what capacity they were in inside the industry. Come to fine out it was Michael Raven, who turned out to be a contract director for Wicked. He has since retired. I also met some performers and they offered to show me the ropes. I didn’t think that was for me and after about 6 months to a year, I came out to California, took a look around and started to meet people. I started to figure out what the business was all about, it was completely different then. A little while after that, I did some softcore work; I did some stuff for HBO, Cinemax and Showtime and Playboy TV. I was Bikini Girl #4 (laughs)”.

Jessica revealed during this that she lost her virginity when she was 16 years old. Jessica did not have any prior experiences with porn before losing her virginity and this was a turning point in her life. As Jessica puts it in her own words;

“When I lost my virginity, something changed for me when I discovered the act of sex. I was really curious about sex before I started having it because I didn’t really have any resources and my parents weren’t comfortable teaching me what sex was all about. I didn’t get any realistic sex education. I lost my virginity right before I turned 16. It was a high school sweetheart. I was with him for a very long time, even for a while after that. I lost my virginity with a condom. We put a lot of thought and research into it. Of course, it wasn’t great the first time but it wasn’t bad and it definitely made me want more sex…I had already kissed a girl before I lost my virginity to a guy. Shortly after losing my virginity, in a matter of months, I had a threesome with my boyfriend and my best friend…I’ve always been into women. Really liked women”.

After graduating from high school, Jessica attended a community college in El Paso, Texas, before moving on to the University of Texas-El Paso. Jessica initially studied Liberal Arts before switching her major to Psychology. During this time Jessica started performing as an exotic dancer in gentlemen’s clubs around Texas. After a year and a half of college, Jessica decided to postpone her studies and pursue her dream of becoming a feature dancer. In this manner, Jessica progressed from stripping to feature dancing, which in itself evolved into soft-core modelling for magazines and Playboy TV, and which ultimately expanded into a career in the adult film industry. Jessica discussed this pivotal period of her life during , explaining how;

“I was stripping in Texas and going to school, but wanted to try feature dancing. I went to a local club that was having a contest, and ended up meeting Michael Raven & other people in the business. It took me almost a year of visiting LA and dancing out here, doing softcore work and posing for magazines- then I ended up trying movies”.

Jessica was also featured in the Sin City movies (2001) and (2002) that was nominated for “Best DVD” at the 2003 AVN Awards. Talking about these early years during , Jessica divulged that;

“I did my first movie for Michael Raven and I did a boy/girl sex scene before I did girls. I had played with girls in my personal life and when a lot of girls come into the industry, they kind of dip their toe in and go kind of slow. I didn’t really do that. I was independent for a while and then signed a contract with a small company for a small period of time. They didn’t really shoot me which worked to my favour”.

Jessica Drake : Fallen & Fallen II

Without a doubt, one of Jessica’s most popular porn productions has been the Wicked Pictures feature release (2008) within which Jessica shone in the lead role as an angel trapped on Earth. Jessica loved shooting Fallen and regards it as her favorite movie that she has ever filmed. In fact, when Jessica discussed Fallen and some of her other movies during , she eagerly enthused how;

“My all-time favorite movie is Fallen; I did it five years ago and it was a real acting movie. The majority of movies for Wicked are very plot-driven, with better story lines, bigger budgets and cooler locations. A movie I did recently, which was kind of along the same lines, is Underworld. And that’s huge, to get all three. I’m also really excited about playing the Evil Queen in Snow White, because I’ve never played a character like that before”.

Directed by Brad Armstrong and also starring Gianna Lynn, Jada Fire, Lana Croft, Michelle McLaren, Ryder Skye, Jenna Haze, Jennifer Dark, Angie Savage and Shyla Stylez, Fallen was a critical and commercial success that was named as “One of the Greatest Adult Films of All Time” in a 2015 Showtime X-Rated documentary. Fallen was also named “Best Epic” at the 2009 XRCO Awards in a tie with Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge (2008) and it won “Best DVD Menus” and “Best Packaging” at the 2009 AVN Awards.

As such, it was only a matter of time before Jessica was inducted into the AVN Awards “Hall Of Fame” in 2010 and the XRCO Awards “Hall Of Fame” in 2011. Jessica has since been featured within CNBC’s annual “The Dirty Dozen: Porn’s Most Popular Stars” list in 2014.

Jessica Drake : Popular Porn Parodies

Throughout her prolific porn career, Jessica has collaborated with Axel Braun on many fan-favorite Wicked Comix porn parodies. Most notably, Jessica has shared some sizzling scenes with Riley Steele, Barrett Blade and Eric Masterson in (2014) which earned her a “Best Actress – Parody Release” nomination at the 2015 XBIZ Awards, she shot a sizzling scene with Derrick Pierce for (2015) that was nominated for “Best Scene – Parody Release” at the 2016 XBIZ Awards and she shared a raunchy three-way with Ryan Driller and Van Wylde in (2016) which was nominated for “Best Parody” at the 2017 AVN, XBIZ and XRCO Awards.

Wait, there’s even more. You’ll also love watching Jessica’s epic group sex scene with Alektra Blue, India Summer, Kaylani Lei, Misty Stone, Eric Masterson, Jack Vegas, Marco Rivera, Randy Spears and Tommy Gunn in (2012) which won “Best Makeup” and “Best Special Effects” at the 2013 AVN Awards, her thrilling three-way with Katrina Jade and Derrick Pierce in (2017) that was nominated for “Best Group Scene” at the 2018 Inked Awards and her scintillating scenes with Nikki Delano, Brad Armstrong, Seth Gamble and Tommy Gunn in (2018) that earned Jessica a “Best Actress – Comedy Release” nomination at the 2019 XBIZ Awards.

One of Jessica’s most popular porn parodies has been Brad Armstrong’s (2011) within which she played ‘Janet’. This kinky twist on a cult classic was an instant hit among fans and film critics alike; winning “Best Parody: Comedy”, “Best Screenplay: Parody”, “Best Director: Parody”, “Best Overall Marketing Campaign: Individual Project”, “Best Makeup”, “Best Art Direction”, “Best DVD Extras” and “Best Editing” at the 2012 AVN Awards as well as “Best Parody: Comedy” at the 2012 XRCO Awards. Jessica also received a “Best Group Sex Scene” nomination due to her sensational group sex scene with Annie Cruz, Kaylani Lei, Kirsten Price, Nicki Hunter, Puma Swede, Dick Chibbles, Jack Vegas, Mac Turner, Marcus London, Randy Spears, Rocco Reed and Tommy Gunn. Rocki Whore Picture Show: A Hardcore Parody even received a rave review from who enthusiastically stated in his May 2011 film review that;

“The first thing that needs to be clear is that I enjoyed this film more than the original…Another big part for my happiness is Jessica Drake’s acting performance as the naivete newlywed Janet who becomes sexually enlightened. It is an endearing one where she is the heart and soul of this movie and who tugs on the viewer’s heartstrings. Her sexual liaison with Puma Swede is the steamiest sex scene of the film. Furthermore, the casting selections and screenplay are outstanding…

Of course, the screenwriting duo of Brad Armstrong and Hank Shenanigan has given us a fabulous storyline that will make fans of the original movie proud. Many times while I was watching their film, I forgot that it was a full-fledge pornographic movie. Of course, since this is a spoof of a musical, the songs will have to be weighted very heavily. Jessica Drake and Mac Turner are excellent singers who capture the inner essence of their characters in their musical performances. I and many of her fans will want to see her sing more often. I can easily predict that if we jump to the left, The Rocki Whore Picture Show: A Hardcore Parody will top the charts on its way to loads of award nominations…The best sexual performances are the ones with Jessica Drake as well as the Alektra Blue-Brad Armstrong tryst. As to the orgy scene, it is fitting to include it since the image of a mass amount of people in the film has always been associated with it and ingrained in our minds especially during its signature dance number. I always had a feeling that Transylvanians are horny characters. This very entertaining musical and visual marvel receives the XCritic Pick. At this particular time, it’s good to be an oversexed pornstar who can sing”.

Jessica Drake : Recent Releases & Star Showcase

Never one to rest on her laurels, Jessica has continued to star in many critically acclaimed Wicked Pictures feature releases. You have to check out Jessica’s saucy scenes with Asa Akira and Kurt Lockwood in (2015) that earned Jessica yet another “Best Actress-Feature Release” nomination at the 2016 XBIZ Awards, her sizzling scenes with Asa Akira, Abella Danger, Scarlet Red, Eric Masterson and Ryan Driller in (2016) which earned Jessica multiple “Best Actress” nominations at the 2017 AVN, XBIZ and XRCO Awards, as well as her impressive performance as ‘Julie’ in   (2016) which was nominated for “Best Polyamory Movie” at the 2017 AVN Awards and “Couples-Themed Release of the Year” at the 2017 XBIZ Awards.

In September 2017 Jessica released her sensational star showcase (2017). Directed by Brad Armstrong, Jessica Drake Is Wicked featured Jessica in a sizzling Garden Of Eden inspired scene with Ryan Driller, a circus-themed group shoot with Abella Danger, Angela White, Anikka Albrite, Brandy Aniston and Vicki Chase, a raunchy oral sex scene with Dirk Huge, Isiah Maxwell, Ricky Johnson and Rob Piper, a schoolgirl themed shoot with inked stars Anna Bell Peaks, Lily Lane, Sarah Jessie, Small Hands and Will Havoc as well as her first ever TS scene with Aubrey Kate, Domino Presley and Venus Lux. Naturally, Jessica Drake Is Wicked was a smash hit success which earned Jessica many “Best Transsexual Sex Scene”, “Best Oral Sex Scene”, “Best All-Girl Group Sex Scene” and “Best Star Showcase” nominations at the 2018 AVN Awards. Jessica also received high praise from who highlighted in his September 2017 film review how;

“Jessica Drake does not discriminate. It shows with amazing results. The best scene is the one with the ‘ink’ performers by far. It is a rockin’ high energy fuck fest. The all-girl circus scene is pretty hot too with much luscious pleasuring by them. However, this film will always go down in adult film history for the trans scene. It is a very memorable one with a who’s who of trans porn and one of the best and beautiful adult stars of all time. The variety of sex in this film is very good for a porn fan to watch especially since it showcases the gorgeous Jessica Drake. This sexy artistic film and several of its sex scenes will be nominated a lot. It is in the top two for Best Star Showcase. Angela White’s showcase film volume 3 is her main competitor. Best All-Girl Group Sex Scene and Best Transsexual Sex Scene should be locks. The art direction is superb. I highly recommend this film”.

Following the success of Jessica Drake Is Wicked, Jessica had a non-sex role in Axel Braun’s (2018) and she shared some compelling group sex scenes with Angela White, Mercedes Carrera, Ana Foxxx, Natassia Dreams, Sean Michaels, Ryan Driller, Tommy Gunn, Brad Armstrong and Eric Masterson in the Wicked Masterpiece production (2018) which won “All-Sex Release of the Year” at the 2019 XBIZ Awards. This star-studded movie received a whole-hearted endorsement from who conveyed in his August 2018 film review how;

“Carnal is a true labor of love from Brad Armstrong. It’s amazing to me that he has almost single-handedly created something so beautiful, so perfect in its execution that you’re left bewildered in the end. It’s an endless cascade of erotic pleasures so beautifully presented, from the gorgeously seductive opening sequences, to the sumptuous sets and costumes, all designed by the man himself. This is one of the biggest feathers in his cap and he’s definitely going to be a shoe-in come award time. I also have to commend the fabulous jessica drake whose performance in her three scenes were nothing short of amazing. And a VERY special shout out to the masterful editing work from Geddy Lee Roth, not only for his beautiful treatments of each scenes opening montages, but for the extraordinary flawless transitions of the players during the fifth scene. Incredible. I have to give Brad Armstrong’s flawless masterpiece of eroticism the XCritic Pick! It’s an extraordinary accomplishment and one of the most essential adult titles of the year”.

“I take the awards very seriously, and every year I really look forward to the AVN Awards. To me, they are my reward for all my hard work throughout the year, and I love reading the nominations when they’re released”.

As well as receiving these prestigious industry accolades, Jessica has also hosted the 2007 AVN Awards alongside comedian Jim Norton. In fact, following her successful hosting of the 2007 AVN Awards, Jessica co-hosted the 2009 XRCO Awards and 2012 XBIZ Awards with Kayden Kross, she co-hosted the 2010 F.A.M.E. Awards with Indian porn superstar Sunny Leone, and most recently she hosted the 2018 XBIZ Awards. Jessica’s hosting skills have been praised by Alec Helmy, the founder and publisher of XBIZ, who highlighted in how;

“Jessica Drake stands alone in so many ways. Above all, she is a truly multi-faceted personality and brand who touches every segment of adult as does the XBIZ Awards show. So, naturally she was the ultimate choice for us and we are thrilled to have her return as host of our grandest event of the year”.

Jessica Drake : Directorial Debut & Guide To Wicked Sex DVD Series

In 2007 Jessica showcased her directing skills when she co-directed the Wicked Pictures feature release (2007) alongside her partner and fellow adult film star Brad Armstrong. Within less than a year Jessica had made her directorial debut with the Wicked Pictures feature release (2008) which she soon followed up with (2010) starring Dana DeArmond, Briana Blair and Mallory Rae Murphy.

In addition to her directorial prowess, Jessica is a talented writer who started writing saucy screenplays in 2000 whilst she was still signed with Sin City. Some of Jessica’s most popular screenplays include Dating 101, Love Always and Just Between Us. Upon discussing her various adult film projects in , Jessica mentioned that;

“My true love is performing. I love having sex on camera, I love playing different characters, but with that being said I get a lot of satisfaction out of the creative part of the process. I’m a bit of a control freak – when I direct a movie, whether it be a feature movie for Wicked or one of my instructionals, I do all of the work myself. I love being a part of that creative process because I get to sit down, look at the finished product and I’m not just proud of my acting, I’m proud of the whole thing because I did it”.

Jessica is internationally renowned for her spectacular sex scenes and raw sexual charisma. Ever eager to share her saucy skills with her loyal fans, Jessica launched her very own for Wicked Pictures (2011-2016) which continues to educate curious couples on a broad spectrum of sexual interests. When she was asked about the inspiration behind this insightful sex education series during , Jessica explained how;

“About four years ago, I noticed a change in the demographic of people who were coming out to see us at appearances and conventions- it went from mostly men to suddenly seeing couples to then seeing women. As this happened, I had couples and women asking me for sex advice and it struck me how much I take it for granted that people have access to reliable information and resources…

All of these things that I was hearing made me consider doing seminars & workshops for people looking to have better sex. I did my first one here in LA at The Pleasure Chest and afterward I had quite a few people asking if I had DVDs to go along with our discussions. In an instant, I knew it was what I was meant to be doing. My goal is to provide people with the information I never had growing into my own sexuality, and from the start I knew I wanted to cover a diverse range of topics. It grew into something I’m very passionate about, and I’m grateful to Wicked for the support and encouragement”.

As matters stand, Jessica has created over a dozen editions of her Jessica Drake’s Guide To Sex series for Wicked Pictures including (2011) which won “Specialty Release of the Year” at the 2012 XBIZ Awards, (2011) that won “Best Educational Release” at the 2012 AVN Awards, (2011), (2011) and (2012) which won “Best Educational Release” at the 2014 AVN Awards.

Jessica has since released (2012), (2012), (2013), (2014) that won “Specialty Release of the Year” at the 2015 XBIZ Awards, (2014), (2014), (2015), (2015) and (2016). Upon discussing her newfound status as a ‘sex guru’ during , Jessica commented that;

“Right now, I’m in school to be a certified sex coach and licensed sex educator, so currently, I love the learning process. So many times in my life I’ve been asked for advice by my friends, family, fans and to absorb the textbook knowledge to back up what I instinctively already know is very rewarding. Aside from that, I’d say my favourite part is just being able to help people and to feel that I’ve made a difference in their sex life”.

As a matter of fact, in addition to her Jessica Drake’s Wicked Guide To Sex DVD series, Jessica hosts seminars and workshops across the country as well as giving speeches on sex education at universities. To date, Jessica has spoken at UCLA in May 2012 where she addressed a class of licensed therapists, she has taken part in a discussion panel on sex education at the Catalyst Con West sexuality conference, and in February 2014 Jessica joined fellow porn star Tasha Reign when they took part in a “Jessica Drake: From Porn To Sex Ed” discussion panel that was organised as part of the University of Chicago’s Sex Week. By taking part in these college talks, conferences, seminars and workshops, Jessica has been able to address the lack of sufficient sex education in modern society. ;

“There is definitely a gap in modern-day, realistic sex education. I think there are certain things that have been left out, whether we’ve been taught or not taught as kids by our parents or by programs in our schools. I’m trying to bridge that gap and talk to as many people as I can. I do seminars and workshops, I speak at universities, so a little bit of everything…From my personal standpoint, when I was taught about sex it was; penis and vagina; don’t have sex or you’re going to get pregnant; don’t have sex or you’re going to catch a disease and die. No explanation about the fact that sex is pleasurable. Nothing about masturbation. It was very fear-based. I think it’s a combination of not really having enough resources for people and also that, unfortunately for this generation growing up, the only reference to sex or sex ed is downloading free porn on the Internet. I mean, obviously I love porn. I make porn. I perform in porn. I direct it. I think it’s really necessary that we differentiate between “Hey, this is porn, this is something for entertainment, this is a fantasy” versus “This is what sex in your personal life might look like”.

Since 2009 Jessica has taken part in ; an annual fundraising event that has supported HIV/AIDS prevention, care and advocacy programs in Los Angeles, California, for over 30 years. Upon discussing her ongoing participation in AIDS Walk LA during , Jessica conveyed how;

“About five years ago, I saw ads for the walk and looked into it. Obviously HIV/AIDS is a very important cause, especially being in an industry where we are having sex with each other. After doing the walk solo the first year, I was hooked. I did it the second year and was a Star Walker, and for the third year, I decided to form Team Wicked. In the past three years as a team, we’ve raised over $50,000 for APLA and LA Aids Walk. I also love that they know exactly who we are, and support a porn team raising money for charity. Sometimes people have issues with that”.

The vast majority of Jessica’s charity work is conducted anonymously because she does not want people to misinterpret her work as being part of a public relations campaign. Among some of the many non-profit organisations that Jessica works with are; a charity that builds homes and provides clean water to remote impoverished areas, various charitable campaigns in Cambodia, Kenya and Tanzania as well as several non-profit organisations that support victims of domestic abuse.

Throughout her adult film career Jessica has also participated in countless industry talks, University seminars and public campaigns in order to tackle piracy in porn and to address the vast misconceptions that people have regarding the adult industry and its performers. In fact, in February 2014 Jessica and Tasha Reign took part in a UCLA discussion panel titled “Porn, Prostitution And Censorship: The Politics Of Empowerment” alongside UCLA lecturer Dr Christopher Mott. What’s more, in April 2014 Jessica formed part of a discussion panel at the USC School of Cinematic Arts titled “The Piracy Of Sex” wherein she addressed this ever-growing issue with copyright enforcement activist Nate Glass and host David Lerner Ph.D. Upon discussing the social stigmas surrounding porn stars in the mainstream media during , Jessica expressed that;

“Based on things that I hear or experience, the more popular myths are that we were sexually abused as children; that we are alcoholics or drug addicts; that we have sex with everyone,; and that porn was a “last resort.” I have also been told things like, “Wow, you’re so smart for a porn star!” Or, “You’re so … normal.” Both of these statements are not actual compliments, and tend to infuriate me”.

 With so many adult and mainstream projects in the pipeline, Jessica Drake shows no signs of slowing down any time soon! When she was asked about her future plans in , Jessica conveyed how she will continue performing, feature dancing and directing as long as it continues to make her happy. After all, as Jessica puts it in her own words;

“If you would have asked me 5 years ago where do I see myself today, I would have been so far off the mark. I have no idea. I think it changes constantly. I’ve never had a 3-year, 5-year or 10-year plan. I think you’re boxing yourself in or maybe setting yourself up for disappointment. As long as being on camera makes me happy, I’ll still be on camera. If I’m not having sex, then I’ll be doing my series. In the next couple of years, I’ll be feature dancing. It’s all stuff that’s fun for me. I think I’m good at it and I really enjoy it”.
